Ostend hopes that Ewan Henderson can fulfill his Celtic promise
The 23-year-old has left Hibs on a season-long loan to De Kustboys as they chase promotion back to the top tier.
Ostend also has the option to buy the playmaker next summer for a six-figure sum.
Henderson, who made his breakthrough at Celtic at the age of 17, has made 56 appearances for Hibs since joining in January 20222, but has managed just one appearance this season.
But Vanneste hopes that Ostend can bring out the best in Henderson.
He said: “At Celtic, Henderson was regarded as a promising youngster.
“He showed great things, but the big breakthrough failed to materialize. At Hibernian, which finished fourth last season, he played 30 times last season.
“He is a player who has to give us the much needed dose of creativity.
“With his footballing ability and insight, he should be able to create opportunities for his fellow players. So he is the type of player we absolutely needed.”
