A defiant former President Donald Trump has declared he will “proudly present himself” Thursday at Georgia’s Fulton County Jail for arrest on grand jury charges alleging he attempted to illegally overturn the 2020 election .
Trump used his social media network Truth Social to make his own declaration 24 hours before his courtroom date. He wrote:
NO ONE HAS EVER FIGHTED FOR ELECTION INTEGRITY LIKE PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP. Because I do, I will be proudly arrested tomorrow afternoon in Georgia. GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!!
The former president will turn himself in a day after the Republican Party’s presidential primary debate on Fox News, which he declined to attend.

As Breitbart News reported, the former president’s bail in the Fulton County case has been set at $200,000.
The former president and his 18 co-defendants were charged on August 14 with trying to overturn Georgia’s 2020 presidential election.
They were given the deadline to register for booking at 12 noon on Friday afternoon.
As Joel Pollak of Breitbart News noted, the 41-point indictment charges former President Donald Trump, his lawyers and his campaign aides with multiple crimes over a nationwide challenge to the 2020 election.
“The indictment was released around midnight Monday after a rushed jury trial that took just one day to review a convoluted series of charges involving 19 defendants, including the president, in a wide variety of states and jurisdictions,” Pollak wrote. .
“The indictment does not fundamentally relate to actions taken in Georgia, but details the words spoken and the actions taken by the Trump campaign in several other states in their attempts to cast doubt on the controversial 2020 presidential election ”, he added.
