Liv Tyler returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the new Captain America movie.

In The Incredible HulkBetty’s father, General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, is played by William Hurt.
Hurt reprized the role in 2016 Captain America: Civil Warsix years before his death in 2022. Indiana Jones star Ford will now take on the role.
Filming is currently underway on the film in Atlanta, Georgia, with a release scheduled for May 3, 2024.

The updates follow comments from Disney boss Bob Iger about the need for “newness” in the MCU.
Speaking at a conference, Iger was asked if Marvel would continue with its current sequel-oriented model.
“Sequels generally worked well for us,” he said. “For example, do you need a third and a fourth? Or is it time to move on to other characters?
“There’s nothing inherently wrong with the Marvel brand in any way,” he added. “I think we just have to look at what characters and stories we’re mining, and if you look at Marvel’s trajectory over the next five years, you’re going to see a lot of news.”
